About PetBudget
PetBudget is a blog where pet lovers and professionals get to help current and future dog owners budget, save and make great decisions when it comes to their pets. It is the ultimate resource in financial planning as it relates to dog ownership. Our readers have access to cost analysis, product reviews, and tips on saving big! Our central focus is on dogs, but we love writing about every kind of pet – cats, birds, reptiles, small pets, water animals, and the like, and serve as a repository of information for potential owners!
PetBudget is best known for its popular dog cost calculators, providing complete and accurate estimates of how much it should cost pet owners to buy and raise their ideal pet(s).
Why Do We Do This?
First, we want to make sure future dog owners fully understand pet ownership’s financial implications before buying or adopting a pet.
Our mission’s second component is to help current dog owners save by sharing interesting tips and giving them accurate information on a wide range of products and services.
To us, there is nothing sadder than seeing an abandoned animal, and financial challenges are an important reason why hundreds of thousands of owners rehome their pets each year in the US alone. Visit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals website to know more. If we can save one pet from being abandoned, we consider our work to be worth it.
PetBudget Is Different…
The content published on PetBudget is completely original and written by authors with a finance background and professionals such as veterinarians, dog trainers, dog groomers, and dog walkers. Every team member has a college and/or university degree and a strong background with professional experience. We also use our own financial data to ensure our content is as accurate and up to date as possible.
